Start with your classes and assessment workflow
List the classes and subjects you need, how you prepare and print papers, how teachers mark them, and how results reach students and parents. Include the people who do the work: teachers, the examination coordinator, heads of department and the school administrator.
A useful demonstration should show that routine using a class and subject like yours. Ask to see the output and the review steps, rather than deciding from a list of features alone.
Compare these eight requirements
| Requirement | What to ask each supplier | What WISCA provides and where to check |
|---|---|---|
| Classes and subjects | Does it cover the classes, subjects and curriculum year your school teaches? | WISCA covers CBSE Classes 6 to 12 on the 2026-27 curriculum. School coverage and setup. |
| Paper patterns | Can it show the applicable question types, sections, marks and choices before printing? | WISCA uses the applicable class and subject pattern and shows the paper for teacher review. Paper patterns by class. |
| Teacher control | Who approves questions, suggested marks and the release of results? | Teachers review and approve papers and suggested readings, and choose when to share results. The teacher workflow. |
| Marking from scans | Which papers can it read, what equipment is needed, and what happens when a reading is unclear? | WISCA reads answer circles on its own printed papers from a phone photo or scanner. A teacher confirms readings; written answers are marked in a grid. Scanning requirements and review. |
| Chapter-wise results | Can the teacher move from marks to chapters that need reteaching? | WISCA shows which chapters the class lost marks on and who may need help. Teachers review any practice paper before giving it. Marking and chapter results. |
| School setup | What teacher and student records are needed, and what equipment must the school supply? | The school sets up its year and imports teacher and student sheets. Teachers need a browser, a printer and a phone camera or scanner for scans. Setup and equipment. |
| Privacy and access | Who can see pupil records, where is data held, and how are consent and deletion handled? | Each school controls its access. WISCA runs from Singapore and does not promise that data stays in India. Read the published policy and school responsibilities. Data protection details. |
| Pricing and scope | Which classes, users, support and services are included in the quote? | WISCA pricing is set for each school after a demo. There is no published price or self-serve free trial. How school pricing works. |
Run a practical product demo
Bring a paper you really set, or choose a class, subject and chapters the team can use for the demonstration. Use made-up student names and sample answers.
- Prepare the paper. Check the chapter selection, question types, marks and answer key. Review or replace a question before approval.
- Inspect the printed copy. Check page layout, figures, school branding and the version each student receives.
- Try a scan. Use a phone photo or office scanner. Ask to see a clear answer-circle reading and one that needs review, then how written answers are marked.
- Read the results. Ask which chapter the class needs to revisit and how a teacher can prepare follow-up practice.
- Check access and sharing. See what each school role can view and when students or parents can see a result.
For WISCA, book a school demo and say which class and subject you want to see. The team will show the workflow from preparing a paper to reviewing marks and chapter results.
Compare workflows, not just feature lists
Paper preparation, scanning, marks entry, school records and chapter analysis are different parts of the assessment routine. Ask which parts each option covers and where teachers must move information between tools.
WISCA focuses on assessment: papers from a question bank, each student's printed copy, teacher review of scanned answer circles, written-answer marking in a grid and chapter-wise results. Its answer circles are on the student's paper, so a separate bubble form is not needed. It does not replace the school's ERP. Discuss how it fits beside the systems your school already uses.
Review pricing and evidence before deciding
Request a quote that states the scope, services, support and any additional charges. Compare the same requirements across suppliers and ask for current documentation or a demonstration to support important claims.
For any named product comparison, record the product and plan, the feature tested, the source and the date checked. Mark anything that has not been established as unverified. A feature list alone does not establish that one product is best for every school.
WISCA's pricing page, school setup guide and data protection page explain what to discuss with the team. You can also write to ceo@wisca.io.
Common questions
Which is the best assessment software for a CBSE school?
Choose according to your classes, subjects, paper patterns, marking routine, teacher approvals and reporting needs. Test the same paper and sample scans with each option. WISCA covers CBSE Classes 6 to 12 and connects paper preparation, marking and chapter-wise results.
How can I compare WISCA with another product?
Use the same class, subject, chapters, printed paper and sample scans. Check the output, teacher review, unclear readings, chapter results, setup, access and quote. Verify important claims against current documentation or a demonstration and record the source and date.
Does WISCA read any existing OMR sheet?
WISCA reads the answer circles on its own printed papers, identified by their page codes. It is not a general reader for any existing OMR form. Teachers confirm readings and review unclear pages.
Does WISCA replace school ERP software?
No. WISCA focuses on assessment: papers, marking and results. Tell the team which systems your school already uses to discuss how WISCA fits beside them.
How does a school get WISCA pricing?
Pricing is set for each school after a demo. There is no published price or self-serve free trial. Book a school demo or write to ceo@wisca.io to discuss your requirements.
